Sculptra

Deeply etched in wrinkles can be resistant to superficial treatments like creams and ointments but  many who have these visible signs of aging and who do not want or do not qualify for surgery may find an ideal solution with dermal fillers such as Sculptra®.

Sculptra®, a dermal filler newly offered by Glow Medispa, may be the non-surgical and minimally invasive solution that addresses those specific cosmetic concerns, providing the mixture of convenience and efficiency that many patients have been demanding.  If deep wrinkles have been keeping you from feeling confident in your skin, contact us today  and discover the benefits of the Sculptra® treatment for yourself.

How does Sculptra® Work?

Responsible for bolstering the strength of connective tissues that support our face, collagen’s natural production by the body becomes slowed as we age, leading to laxity of skin.  With its unique mixture of poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra® aims to stimulate your body’s production of collagen and proteins similar to it, and by working with these natural agents that are already present in the body, it helps to bring back a lasting and genuine look of youth.

The treatment works through three to four injections, each of them taking less than an hour to complete, that are scheduled through multiple appointments that can take place over the course of weeks to months, depending on the individual.  This is done to cater to your body’s normal rate of collagen production.

By working with the body, Sculptra® stimulates soft tissue regeneration in a way that looks and feels organic.

What can Sculptra® Treat and What Makes it Appealing?

Sculptra® has been clinically proven to be efficient at addressing various types of wrinkles and creases that can appear on the face, including but not limited to:

  • Marionette Lines
  • Smoker’s Lines
  • Bags under the eyes
  • Jowl Wrinkles
  • Laugh Lines

In addition to being applicable to multiple types of fines lines and wrinkles, Sculptra® is also non-surgical, meaning no scalpels and incisions are necessary for the treatment to be performed properly.  If you have these cosmetic concerns and the term “going under the knife” makes you a little nervous, you’ll likely find value to the procedure.

Working on the surface doesn’t equate to superficial effects as they can be easily apparent for up to two years following the procedure.

Is Sculptra® Safe?

The Sculptra® treatment has been used in clinics all around the world since 1999, and has been approved by the F.D.A for the treatment of wrinkles, creases and similar concerns.

However, Glow Medispa knows just how valuable safety is and evaluates the safety of each of our treatments on the basis of the individual.  Before the procedure, one of our medical professionals will sit with you to review your specific aesthetic goals as well as your existing medical history to find out if this treatment is right for you. When applicable, we will discuss alternative treatment options.  Sculptra® is not designed to be used by minors.

Am I a Candidate?
