I’m excited to announce the addition of BBL Forever Young to the list of top services we offer here at Glow Medispa. BBL stands for Broad-Band Light, and the BBL device from Sciton is the Stradivarius of light-delivery devices.
BBL is similar to IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), but it is only available on the Sciton BBL machine. BBL is unique in how it is made and modulated, the energy delivered to the skin, the cooling mechanism and delivery and finally the software that allows different treatments for different conditions. BBL uses short blasts of high-intensity light to produce younger looking skin that is firmer and more even in tone and texture.
BBL is great to treat:
How does BBL work?
The light energy heats the outer layers of the skin, targeting the reds and browns. The reds and browns are diminished, evening the skin tone. The heat delivered also stimulates the skin to make its own collagen, restoring its natural beauty and firmness over time. This creates more vibrant and younger looking skin.
What is BBL Forever Young?
BBL can be used for many different treatments, but the signature service is BBL Forever Young. It is a special recipe of settings and sequences that treat all aspects of the skin including pigment, vascular, texture, tone, acne and firmness. BBL Forever Young has more clinical studies than any other IPL device, proving its efficacy.
How many treatments are needed?
For treating redness and brown spots, people typically need at least two to three treatments about one month apart, but occasionally more, depending on the skin type and severity of the problem.
For skin/collagen maintenance, we recommend three-six treatments/year depending on your age and skin type. I have written extensively about maintaining your collagen to keep your skin thick and springly and prevent aging. BBL can be used for this purpose, and it can be combined with Genius or LaseMD or microneedling to maximize skin tightness and tone.
To find out more about BBL, please call us at 206-800-7379 or schedule a consultation to find out whether it might be right for you.
